After 28 years in the Royal Air Force, twenty one house moves, and a further seven years as Bursar and Clerk to the Governors of Durham School, Peter and his wife Wendy retired to Hampshire in 1997. However, not one for doing nothing, Peter soon found himself with a variety of part-time jobs but has now settled for Clerk to King’s Somborne Parish Council and acting as a senior consultant with Steele Rose & Co Ltd, one of the country’s largest specialist companies of will writers and estate practitioners.
Having lived in various parts of the UK, Holland, Cyprus, Germany, and for a short time in the USA, it is not surprising that one of his main interests is travel. Another is driving, although age has meant giving up his beloved his Class 1 HGV licence. Peter and Wendy have a son, married with two children, and a daughter, married with three children. With work and the DIY calls made upon him here, and on a house in central France, there is little time for much else at the moment.
